The winners of the 21st Transilvania International Film Festival

27 June, 2022

The Closing Gala of the 21st edition of the Transilvania International Film Festival took place on June 25, in Unirii Square, Cluj-Napoca. The award ceremony was followed by the screening of Le chêne / Heart of Oak (dir. Laurent Charbonnier, Michel Seydoux).

12 productions from all over the world, including two Romanian films, competed for the Transilvania Trophy. Actress Maia Morgenstern was honored with the Excellence Award, a crowning achievement of four decades dedicated to the stage and the big screen.

The banner under which the festival took place was “Make Films, Not War”, meant as a message of creation, firmly opposing war and the irresponsible fuelling of the state of conflict.
