Transilvania Pitch Stop – Call for entries for the 7th edition
Transilvania Pitch Stop is a program dedicated to film industry organized by Transilvania International Film Festival, which aims to discover and support film projects at a very early stage in development.
The Transilvania Pitch Stop international co-production platform will take place on the 5th and 6th of June, in Cluj-Napoca.
Filmmakers at their first or second feature film from Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Greece, Turkey and Georgia are eligible for application. Projects must be developed as European co-productions and have at least 15% of the budget covered.
Ten in-development projects will be selected, and the director and producer of each film will be invited (June 4-7) to present their project in front of the jury members and the potential partners and financiers. Besides these public presentations, there will also be individual meetings and discussions on the selected projects.

The Transilvania Pitch Stop workshop will be held between June 1-6.
Application is open for directors at their first or second feature film from Romania and the Republic of Moldova. Five projects will be selected, and the directors and their producers will be invited to Cluj-Napoca to participate at an intensive workshop.
Each project team will work with a trainer on developing ideas for presenting the project in front of potential partners and financiers, and preparing a pitch. Trainers will also offer guidance on script development and dramatic structure.
Participants will also attend the industry events within the festival. Thus, TPS provides the selected projects with a higher global profile, and offers the opportunity for participants to present their projects to potential international partners.
Film projects at a very early stage in development are eligible for submission, and the productions selected in the program will have their national premiere at Transilvania International Film Festival.
Previous TPS winners include movies like Monsters. (dir. Marius Olteanu) and Soldiers: Story from Ferentari (dir. Ivana Mladenovic).
You can submit your project online and it must be written in English. More details can be found here.
Entries for both programs are open until March 31, 2020. The selected projects will be announced by April 30, 2020.
