There are only a few days left until The Script Contest, the short film screenplay contest powered by ADFR, will open the call for entries for the edition #4, an edition that is also coming with new features in the program.

Entries are open between December 10, 2019 and February 12, 2020. If on the last edition the finalists have had one-on-one meetings with the jury, this edition they will also benefit from a six-day creative residency, far from the bustle of the city, in Brașov county. There will be only one winner chosen in the end, and he will receive a cash prize and the actual production of the short film with all that it implies, from pre-production to submitting the film at festivals.

Thus, The Script Contest becomes a residence-contest for short film projects, being the only such event in the country!

The stages of the contest are as follows:

After the selection of the nine finalists, they will meet with the members of the jury. Each jury member will be given three scripts.They will further analyze the scripts with their authors and they will provide feedback in the process.

The next step is the 6-day residence at the COBOR Farm, where participants will have the opportunity to rewrite and improve their scripts. At the end, they will be sent back to the jury.

The final stage is PITCHin’ Days. During the pitch session, the participants will present their final scripts in front of the jury and a pre-selected audience. The pitch presentation must be made as a PowerPoint document. Questions from the public will be allowed.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Scripts will be submitted only via the FilmFreeway platform, and a participant can submit only one short film script (maximum 15 pages), written in Romanian, regardless of the genre. Only scripts edited in Celtx or Final Draft, and exported as PDFs, will be accepted.

Entries for The Script Contest are open between 10.12.2019 – 12.02.2020, and the edition runs until 10.04.2020.
